A Weekly Vegetable Subscription from Pekarek’s Produce is a relationship between you and our family. When you purchase a Weekly Vegetable Subscription, you’ll receive delicious, fresh, local vegetables every week.

We select vegetable varieties for their taste, raise them under the best possible conditions, pick them at the peak of ripeness, and carefully wash and pack them for you.

How does a Vegetable Subscription work?

Pekarek’s Produce Weekly Vegetable Subscription involves you pre-paying for a SHARE of produce.  We will pack the share in the morning and then each Wednesday, May 22 through September 18, you will pick up your vegetables at your selected location. We throw in a few extra dollars worth of extra produce over the regular retail price, so you get a fantastic value for what you pay.

Will this be enough? This SHARE has been the most popular size of weekly vegetable subscription for several years. For most households, it works well for 2 – 3 people. However, if you are big fruit and veggies eaters, we recommend getting two SHARES.

What is in the Vegetable Subscription each week?
In a typical year, there are more 30 different vegetables in the Pekarek’s Produce Vegetable Subscription. This includes tomatoes, watermelon, broccoli, butternut squash, cabbage, cantaloupe, carrots, cauliflower, peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, red & golden beets, green beans, green onions, jalapeños, kohlrabi, onions, potatoes, radishes, salad mix, snow & sugar snap peas, spaghetti squash, spinach, sweet corn, sweet potatoes, cherry & roma tomatoes, turnips, cantaloupe, yellow squash, and zucchini!  Below are some examples of what one full share may contain. Contents of the boxes will vary week to week.  Be sure to check out the pictures below!

Where do I pick up my fruits and vegetables?
Pick up locations (Site Hosts) are still being determined for the 2024 Weekly Vegetable Subscription. Please reach out to us if you are interested in hosting a pick up site. The sites from 2023 include:

Lincoln, Nebraska – The Hub Cafe (250 N. 21st): Wednesdays from 5-7pm
Lincoln, Nebraska – Capital City Fitness (6891 A St. Suite 110): Wednesdays from 4:30 – 6:30 pm
Seward, Nebraska – Merle’s Garden Center: Wednesdays from 4-7pm

Wahoo, Nebraska – Beauty View Farms (2075 Co Rd K Wahoo , NE 68066): Tuesdays after 4pm, or Wednesday
On the Farm – 12 miles North of Seward on Highway 15: Wednesdays after 2pm
